Manav Sampada App Download & Login: mSTHAPNA, iPhone
Only one of the two NIC apps is still available. The Manav Sampada app, published by National Informatics Centre on Google Play, works for employees of any state using the system. mSTHAPNA, built by NIC’s Uttar Pradesh State Centre in Lucknow, is off the Play Store. Neither has an iPhone version we could find, and neither is called “m-STHAPANA 2.0.”
Two Apps, One Name Confusion
Most websites merge these apps into one. Their store records show they are separate.

We checked both in September 2026. The Manav Sampada listing is live, rated 2.6 stars from about 1,500 reviews. The mSTHAPNA listing doesn’t open, and an app directory had reported the same in 2024. So UP employees are left with the Manav Sampada app or the mobile browser.
Before You Tap Install
Check three things on the listing
- Developer: National Informatics Centre.
- Package name: open the listing in a browser and check that the address contains
id=nic.hp.manavsampada. - Source: the Google Play Store app, not a link forwarded on WhatsApp or SMS.
Skip APK download sites
Plenty of sites still offer mSTHAPNA and Manav Sampada APK files, re-hosting builds taken from the store. Apps installed this way don’t update through Play, and Android asks you to allow unknown sources, which weakens your phone’s protection. A delisted app’s APK is worse still: nobody is fixing it any more.
Ignore the “2.0” claims
Several guides describe an “m-STHAPANA 2.0” with fingerprint login, face unlock and an iPhone release, published by “UPSDC.” No store listing matches any of this. UPSDC is the Uttar Pradesh State Data Centre, which hosts the portal; NIC builds the apps.
Logging In on the App
The app has no sign-up of its own. ETV Bharat’s guide describes education department staff logging in to NIC’s app with the User ID and password already issued for the portal. Use those same details.
If the app rejects a UP login that works on the website, stop retrying and switch to the mobile browser, where the same details already work.
What the App Can Do, and What It Can’t
Its official listing covers:
- Viewing your eService Book, including education, family, training, joining, leave, tour and salary service history
- Checking leave balances
- Applying for leave or tour approval
- Deleting leave while it is still pending, and cancelling approved leave
- Approving or rejecting subordinates’ leave and tour requests, for reporting officers
mSTHAPNA, while it was live, covered applying for and viewing leave, with approve, reject and forward options for officers. Other features were still listed as under development when it went off the store.
Not listed in either app
Salary slip download, pension slips, GPF and notifications appear on neither listing, despite what many guides claim. One Play Store review from July 2026 complains that the annual salary statement can’t be downloaded from the app.

Using an iPhone
We found no Manav Sampada or mSTHAPNA app on the Apple App Store. The only related NIC iPhone app is eTransfers, which lists Himachal Pradesh transfer orders.
On an iPhone, open Safari and use the mobile site at ehrms.upsdc.gov.in. Save it to your Home Screen for one-tap access. Login steps are the same as on the Manav Sampada portal.
When the App Misbehaves
Real Play Store reviews point to three recurring problems.
Same ID and password work one day, fail the next
This has been reported since 2020. NIC’s reply at the time asked users to try again and write to group1-hp@nic.in if it continued. If it keeps happening, log in through the mobile browser instead.
Slow loading, leave not going through, service book blank
NIC replied to such complaints in August 2024 that the website and app had been modified, and asked users to install the latest version. Update the app from Play before anything else.
The feature you need isn’t there
The app covers a smaller set of tasks than the portal. Anything outside the listed features needs the website.
Who Answers App Questions
The Manav Sampada listing gives sio-hp@nic.in as its support email, run by NIC’s Himachal Pradesh team. Use it for app faults only. A wrong ID, missing mobile number or incorrect service book entry is fixed by your own office, not the app developer.
